Aedui

A Gallic tribe in the region between the Saône and the Loire. It's "capital" was Bibracte. By the time of Caesar's conquest, their dominance had been supplanted by the Sequani. As the Aedui alligned themselves with the Romans, Caesar restored them to power after the conquest of Gaul. This is despite their role in the rebellion of Vercingetorix.
